Dog Friendly, Always
Dogs are part of the family. We get it, that’s our dog Stella in the photo above. So, when you bring Fido to The Redwood, he has an enclosed area to run around, off-leash, at our pet-friendly lodging.
We want everyone to play nice together at our pet-friendly California motel, so we have the following obedience school guidelines. All that we ask of you and Fido is:
- Maximum weight of 50 lbs/23 kg.
- Pet must be crated if unattended in the room.
- The owner must be present with the pet while any hotel staff member, such as housekeeping or maintenance, is in the room. Please contact the front desk to arrange for housekeeping service.
- All pets must be leashed or crated in public areas.
- Excessive barking or other disruptive behavior is not allowed. The pet owner will be contacted to resolve any issue.
- Pet owners take full responsibility for any damage the pet may cause or revenue lost due to disturbance caused by the pet.
- Pet owner agrees to pay a one-time cleaning fee of $25.
- Pet owner’s mobile telephone number and email are required to be on file.
- Service animals will be given access to all guest areas including public spaces… they are very special in the work they do! There is no fee for a service animal.
If you need a vet, there is an office located less than half a mile from the hotel. Front desk has details.
Humboldt County’s 100-mile-long Redwood Coast is a misty and majestic slice of California that should be on every dog traveler’s list. While the redwood trees are the stars, the beaches are magnificent — and on many of them, your four-legged friend can romp free within the wave slope. PET MAP here.
