How long have you lived in Fortuna?
I was born and raised here in Fortuna. I also spent a lot of time in Blocksburg on the family ranch. I live in Rio Dell currently. Humboldt County is my home through and through.
What’s your favorite part of the job?
I love that I, or we rather, get to help people plan bucket list vacations! We legit live in a place some people can only dream of visiting one day. I also love that we are allowed to care. Humans run The Redwood and we understand life happens so when a memorial or wedding comes in, we are able to do special things for them to make their time easier or more enjoyable.
What do you like to do for fun?
Nature time, Avenue of The Giants especially. Candle making is my newest hobby. I love to use flowers and stones to decorate the top of my soy wax candles in mason jars. I also love to steal my nieces and nephews for fun stuff like beach days and sleepovers!
Tell us two fun facts about you!
My husband, Chris, is the maintenance man at The Redwood. He’s been here for 6 years now and we are very fortunate to get to work here together! Not only do we love tending to the garden boxes at The Redwood, but we have a home garden too. We are also the dog parents of two adorable pups. One is more mischievous than the other… but we love them the same 🐾
