Programs on the second Saturday of the month feature nationally and internationally known performers as well as those from Humboldt County. They perform a wide repertoire of music from classical to jazz, ethnic to American folk, and vocal to instrumental. We at The Redwood Riverwalk Hotel are proud to be one of the sponsors of this concert series. All the performers stay at The Redwood, so you might even see them at breakfast!

Saturday, November 9, 2019: Eureka Brass
The dozen musicians of Eureka Brass have been performing for Humboldt audiences for over 30 years. Musicians in the ensemble reside from Trinidad to Garberville.
Saturday, January 11, 2020: Slide
This trio will present an evening of familiar music creatively arranged and full of great harmonies. The three accompany their vocals with piano, guitar, and ukulele.
Saturday, February 8, 2020: Garrick Woods & Daniela L. Mineva
This concert cello and piano duo will present an all-Russian program: From Russia with Love.
Saturday, March 14, 2020: Chamber Players of the Redwoods
The Chamber Players include some of the finest musicians from Humboldt County. Their woodwind, brass, string and piano chamber ensembles will present VARIETY, with music from baroque to contemporary.
Saturday, April 11, 2020: Scotia Ragtime Band
Step back a century to the Roaring Twenties when the band performs ragtime music, followed by a screening of One Week, a 1920 silent movie starring Buster Keaton.
Saturday, May 9, 2020: Lisa Lynne & Aryeh Frankfurter
A GALA Celebration closes the 2019-2020 Concert Series when San Francisco’s Lisa Lynne & Aryeh Frankfurter bring their multi-cultural, multi-instrumentalist program to Fortuna. The duo performs with Celtic Harps, Swedish Nyckelharpa, Ukrainian Bandura, Bouzouki, Cittern and more. “Audiences are spellbound and enchanted with their unique show of breathtaking music both traditional and original, with wondrous stories and humor entwined.”
Live music is just one reason to book a weekend getaway at The Redwood. You can explore the tall trees and Redwood Coast by day, then return to enjoy the warm hospitality of our small independent ‘boutique hotel’ and hear some great music in the evening. Concerts are held at the Fortuna Monday Club, a comfortable, intimate theater less than a five minute drive from The Redwood. You can purchase tickets for the 7:30 pm performances at the door. Tickets are $10.00 each; doors open at 6:45 pm.
