The 35th Annual Fortuna Apple Harvest Festival and Downtown Street Fair will be held Saturday, October 5, and Sunday, October 6, 2019. There’ll be plenty of family friendly fun all weekend throughout Fortuna – orchard tours, live music, everything apple, and “The best cider you’ll ever taste” at Clendenen’s Cider Works.
Saturday, stroll down Main Street while you browse downtown sales and artisan crafts from jewelry to jams and woodworks to wind chimes at Fortuna’s old-fashioned Street Fair. There’ll be live music to entertain you at Rohner Park. Festival goers can climb on a hay-wagon for free rides between Clendenen’s Cider Works, the old-fashioned Street Fair on Main Street, Rohner Park, the Fire Department, and Strong Creek Plaza.
Saturday, Clendenen’s Cider Works will celebrate everything apple. You can visit the orchard, taste new and vintage apple varieties, enjoy live music, and feast on Applewood Barbecue – grilled hamburgers and hotdogs featuring local grass-fed beef and produce. Sunday there’ll be more apple tasting, orchard hayrides, and live music at the Cider Works, plus a 4-H BBQ from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.
Clendenen’s Cider Works Open for 2019 Season
You don’t have to wait for the Fortuna Apple Harvest Festival to taste apples and delicious Fortuna apple cider. Clendenen’s Cider Works is open from Mid-August through January, Mondays – Saturdays from 9:00 am until 5:30 pm and Sundays from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. Their early season cider is made mostly from tart and sweet Gravenstein apples. As the season progresses, the cider becomes sweeter and more complex. The Cider Works also offers a selection of farm fresh fruits and vegetables, honey, and nuts.
