Books are scattered on shelves throughout the lobby and in the Cubicle.
You don’t need to worry about finishing the book during your stay at The Redwood. Guests are welcome to start reading it here and take the book on the road with them. When you’ve finished the book, just share it with someone else at your final destination.
Guests can select from best-selling titles such as Catherine Coulter’s suspense thrillers Blind Side and Blow Out, or John Grisham’s legal thrillers The Summons and The Appeal. There are historical novels like Ken Follett’s Fall of the Giants, and romantic ones like Danielle Steel’s Blue. Many of these books were purchased to support Yountville Friends of the Library through their book sales.
Book lovers can request The Redwood’s special Book(mark) Package. In addition to all the hotel’s complimentary amenities from breakfast and WiFi to parking, bookworms will leave with a copy of Richard Preston’s The Wild Trees: A Story of Passion and Daring to read when they return home. The book is set here in the heart of the redwoods, where it follows the adventures of the botanists and naturalists who scaled these giants to reach the heights of their canopies.
